      • History: Recognizing an opportunity to spread love for Valentine’s Day, the United States Post Office created a commemorative stamp series dedicated to love. This stamp was issued on Valentine's Day (February 14th) 1994. There where three new "love" stamps issued in 1994. They included two 29 cent stamps and this 52 cent stamp.   The stamp featured here was created in the Victorian style and has the image of two doves in a bouquet of multicolored roses .
